From 30,000 to 10,000 BC, art played a significant role in the lives of prehistoric humans. Cave painting was one of the most important art forms of this time. Natural pigments were used to create these paintings, which showed everyday scenes, animals, and symbols. Probably the most renowned cavern artistic creations were found in Lascaux, France, and are assessed to be around 17,000 years of age. Small bone, stone, and ivory sculptures and rock carvings were also important forms of art during this time.
