Japanese Bombing of Chongqing (feb 18, 1938 – aug 23, 1943)
Description:
The bombing of Chongqing were massive terror bombing operations authorized by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service and Navy Service. During these bombings, the Japanese dropped incendiary bombs on Chongqing, burning hundreds of people and buildings and would come back the next day to drop more bombs on people. To deal with this problem, the people of Chongqing would build bomb shelters for them to hide during the bombings. But the bombing would continue on until August 23rd, 1943Added to timeline:
