Battle of Shanghai (aug 13, 1937 – nov 26, 1937)
Description:
The Battle of Shanghai was considered to be one of the largest and bloodiest battles which was comparable to the Battle of Stalingrad. During the three months of fierce fighting, Chinese and Japanese troops fought downtown, Shanghai and on the beaches of Yangtze river and Hangzhou Bay. After three months of fighting, Japan won the battle but the results for China were devastating, about 250,000 soldiers were killed and 9,115 for Japan.
