War of 1812 (jun 18, 1812 – feb 18, 1815)
Description:
British vs US. Started because British practice impressment on US ships, and US expand territory into Spain (an ally of Britain). Ended in 1815, not much territorial shift. Not that successful for US in terms of fighting, but greatly increased national morale and unity.Note: Federalists opposed, Democrat-Repub support.
