Greensboro sit ins (feb 1, 1960 – jul 25, 1960)
Description:
Greensboro sit ins were one of the nonviolent protests that happened in Greensboro, North Carolina. These sits ins happened when young African American students came and sat at a segregated Woolworth’s lunch counter while refusing to give up their seats. Many students were arrested and harassed while sitting at the counter. This led to places having to change their segregations rules.
