Nat Turner's Revolt (aug 21, 1831 – aug 23, 1831)
Description:
Nat Turner was a slave who led a rebellion against white plantation owners in Virginia in 1831.
The rebellion, which resulted in the deaths of over 60 white people, led to a wave of harsher laws and regulations against slaves throughout the South.
Turner escaped and spent six weeks on the run before he was captured, tried and hanged.
