operation rolling thunder (feb 24, 1964 – feb 24, 1968)

Description:

This was a bombing campaign. The U.S airforce and navy aircrafts during this time engaged in a bombing campaign designed to force Ho Chi Ming to abandon his ambition to take over South Vietnam. Their intention was the pressure communist leaders to end the aggression and to limit their ability to wage war against U.S. allies.
