Description:
When the Mongols took over China they didn't change much. They allowed China to keep its customs and leaders. They did collect taxes, however. The Mongols did get rid of the examination system and that anger the scholar-gentry. But during the Yuan dynasty trade greatly increased, allowing for an interaction between Europe and China.Added to timeline:
