There was a Neo-Confucian revival during the Song dynasty. It was in retaliation to the rise of Buddhism in the previous dynasty. The Song dynasty was also a time of innovation. Although old customs like foot binding were still being practiced. The Song was a golden age for China and influences China still till this day.Added to timeline:
