Hundred Years' War (jan 1, 1338 – jan 1, 1453)
Description:
The Hundred Years' War was fought between Britain and France. It was fought over lands England possessed in France and feudal rights versus the emerging claims of national states. Over the course of the Hundred Years' War medieval fighting and governmental style changed drastically. The use of knights and chivalry died out in favor for larger concentrated armies. The use of the feudal system also slackened. These changes helped pull western Europe out of the Middle Ages.
