Crusades (jan 1, 1096 – jan 1, 1270)
Description:
The Crusades were religious ware fought between the Christians and Muslims over holy lands. They were bloody and led to the death of many. The Crusades did expose western Europe to the more advanced Muslims. Europe gained much information and the preserved Greek texts jump started Europe's intellectual revival.
