Montgomery Bus Boycott (dec 5, 1955 – dec 20, 1956)
Description:
This boycott took place after the Rosa Parks incident where she wouldn't give up her spot on the bus to a white man and was arrested. Because of this, MLK organized rallies to support Rosa and they then boycotted the Montgomery public buses. The boycott lasted about a year and all black people had to walk everywhere. The boycott ended when they passed the law desegregating public buses and they finally got the justice that they were fighting for..
