Description:
the 18th Amendment prohibited “the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors” but not the consumption, private possession, or production for one's own consumption, later was repealed by the 21th amendment . And the 19th amendment granted women the right to vote. The 19th amendment legally guarantees American women the right to vote. Achieving this milestone required a lengthy and difficult struggle the victory took decades of agitation and protest.
