Description:
The Enlightenment was an intellectual and philosophical movement that occurred in Europe during the 18th century. Much of the Enlightenment involved an increasing interest and reliance on science as opposed to just looking to religion for all the answers. In addition to this, many European philosopher helped promote ideas about human nature that led to the development of classic liberalism.
