Description:
The Reformation refers to the complete restructuring of the Church in Europe, started by Martin Luther. Martin Luther noticed that the church had become increasingly corrupted, and demanded that it be reformed. Part of the reformation process involved taking authority away from the church, and giving it to the government, and thus, in a democratic society, with the people, increasing the individual's rights and freedoms to have a say in the ruling of their own country.Added to timeline:
