Montgomery Bus Boycott (dec 5, 1955 – dec 20, 1956)
Description:
A civil rights protest during which African American citizens of Montgomery, Alabama refused to ride city buses in order to protest segregated seating. This is known as the first large-scale demonstration against segregation in the US and the Supreme Court, as a result, ordered that Montgomery integrate its bus system.
