Ban on Sex-Segregated Advertising (jan 1, 1968 – jan 1, 1973)

Description:

In the late 60s and early 70s, it was popular for companies advertising in newspapers to direct their ads to a certain audience, typically men more than women. This was seen as acceptable, as the other sex was still welcome to apply for the job or buy the goods, but the Supreme Court determined that it was a form of discrimination. This policy also allows women to apply for and have jobs that previously only men could work.
