Henri Poincaré (apr 29, 1854 – jul 17, 1912)
Description:
French mathematician and theoretical physicist who made significant contributions to many areas of mathematics, including topology, algebraic geometry, and the theory of differential equations. Poincaré was a pioneer in the study of dynamical systems and chaos theory. One of his most important contributions is the Poincaré recurrence theorem, which states that any system that evolves in a bounded region of phase space will eventually return arbitrarily close to its initial state.
