"How can I excel at a game when you refuse to tell me the rules," (Morgenstern 150).
Celia berates her father for more knowledge of the circus and how she is supposed to win. He gives her no substantial information about how the game works at all, except for that she shows off her skills in the circus to prove herself to be better than her opponent.
