Description:

-The bloodiest and one of the last major wars of World War II
-Axis (Japan) vs Allies (US)
-Impact: Led to the formal entry of The United States (which was formerly neutral) into WW2. -The aim of the attack: to prevent the US Pacific Fleet from interfering with the attacks Japan had planned on Southeast Asia.
-Launched by Japanese aircrafts at 7:55 am on December 7, 1941.
-The fighting lasted only 90 minutes and was very one-sided (on the well prepared Japanese side)
-Weapons: Japanese Bombs and Torpedoes and American semi-automatic and bolt-action rifles
-Casualities: More than 180 US aircraft were destroyed. 2,403 Americans were killed and 1,178 others were wounded.
-On the more prepared Japanese side, around 68 servicemen were killed.
-Next day, December 8, The US congress declared war on japan, thus entering WW2.
