The Spanish-Tlaxcalteca forces take over Lake Texcoco (apr 1, 1521 – may 10, 1521)
Description:
The Spanish-Tlaxcalteca forces built 13 brigantines (large boats) and used them to control Lake Texcoco. By controlling the lake, they could control imports of food and water into Tenochtitlan, as the whole city was an island inside of the lake.
