In the Coral Sea, between Australia, New Guinea, and the Solomon Islands, one of the largest naval conflicts in history unfolded. It was between the Imperial Japanese Army, Australia, and the United States. This battle is especially significant as it was the first time aircraft carriers engaged each other.
