Montgomery bus boycott (dec 5, 1955 – dec 20, 1956)
Description:
The Montgomery Bus Boycott took place after the Rosa Parks was arrested. MLK organized rallies to support Rosa Parks and decided to boycott the montongrey public buses. The boycott lasted about a year and ended with the desegregation of buses. This is one of the only times a boycott was successfully pulled off.Added to timeline:
