Description:
The situation in lower Canada was a struggle for power between the governor-appointed council and elected assembly people were aggravated because Anglophones and protestant people controlled the council
The situation in Upper Canada had a power struggle had developed in Upper Canada as well so the same situation people were aggravated but for a different reason, wealthy English Canadian families or "Family Compact" held power of the councils.
