Ahaziah (dec 27, 853 BC – may 1, 852 BC)

Description:

He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord and served false gods. Now Ahaziah was injured, and was in Samaria; he told a messenger to say "go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury". Then Elijah met the messengers from Ahaziah and said is there no God in Israel that you needed to consult Baal-Zebub; you will die on the bed you are lying on. And the messengers went back and reported all what Elijah said. Then Ahaziah sent a another fifty men. And they said to Elijah this is what the king is come down at once. then fire came down from heaven and burned them up. Then Ahaziah sent another fifty men, and they begged him to come down, and begged him to save his life. Then Elijah went down and went to the king. And King Ahaziah died just as Elijah said.
