Description:
Joram was the son of Ahab. He reigned for 12 years.
He was evil because he served idols, but he was not as evil as his father, because he put away the pillar of Baal.
"He [Joram] did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, though not like his father and mother, for he put away the pillar of Baal that his father had made. Nevertheless, he clung to the sin of Jeroboam..." (2 Kings 3:2-3)
a. Joram made an alliance with Jehoshaphat of Judah. They fought against Moab, who had rebelled against Israel. They defeated Moab.
