Jehoshaphat is repeatedly rebuked because what he did was ungodly and he helped the wicked.
Jehoshaphat built a fleet of ships during his reign, to go to Ophir for gold. they never set sail though, for they were recked at Ezion Geber.
2 Chronicles 19: 3
2 Jehu the seer, the son of Hanani, went out to meet him and said to the king, “Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, the wrath of the Lord is on you.
Jehoshaphat served the Lord during his life. He took down the balls and the Ashtaroth, and turned the people back to God.
