Description:

This era began with a new interest in corrections and reformation combined with new behavioral techniques. The treatment era was based on a medical model of corrections -- one that implied that the offender was sick, as that rehabilitation was only a matter of finding the right treatment. There were many different types of therapies, some that even still take place today.
