Description:
Ahaz was Jotham's son. He reigned for 16 years.
He was evil because he burned his children as an offering and served idols.
"And he [Ahaz] did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord... He even made metal images for the Baals, and he made offerings... and burned his sons as an offering... And he sacrificed and made offerings on the high places and on the hills and under every green tree." 2 Chronicles 28:1-4
a. God let Judah be defeated by Syria and when Ahaz was in trouble, he worshiped idols even more than before.
