King Jehoram/Joram's reign (jan 1, 849 BC – jan 1, 842 BC)

Description:

Jehoram was Jehoshaphat's son. He was also married to Ahab's daughter Athaliah. He reigned for 7 years.
He was evil because he killed all his brothers when he became king. Jehoram also made the people of Judah serve idols.
"And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife. And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord." (2 Kings 8:18) "When Jehoram had ascended the throne of his father and was established, he killed all his brothers with the sword, and also some of the princes of Israel." (2 Chronicles 21:4)
"Moreover, he made high places in the hill country of Judah... and made Judah go astray." (2 Chronicles 21:11)
a. Jehoram died and nobody cared. They didn't make a fire in his honour after he died. He wasn't buried with the other kings.
b. Elijah told Jehoram that "the Lord will bring a great plague on your people, your children, your wives, and all your possessions, and you yourself will have a severe sickness with a disease of your bowels"* and later, other nations came and raided his castle. They stole all his stuff, wives, and sons, except one: Ahaziah/Jehoahaz. Then he got an incurable disease and died after two years.
