Description:
Rehoboam was the first king of Judah. He decided to be harder on the people than his father Solomon. He increased their tax load and labor.
Rehoboam was not a very Godly king. He made Gods people work and pay more than was ever needed.
1 Kings 12: 14
"He followed the advice of the young men and said, “My father made your yoke heavy; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions.”"
