King Asa's reign (jan 1, 912 BC – jan 1, 871 BC)

Description:

Asa was Abijah's son. He reigned for 41 years.
He was good because he took down all the things used for idol worship.
"And Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father had done." (1 Kings 15:11)
"And Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God. He took away the foreign altars and the high places and broke down the pillars and cut down the Asherim and commanded Judah to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, and to keep the law and the commandment." (2 Chronicles 14:2-4)
a. God sent a prophet to tell Asa that he would be punished for not trusting God, but he imprisoned the prophet. So Asa got diseased in his feet, and two years later he died.
