Description:
i. This was targeted at De Facto segregation
ii. Voter suppression tools like the Jim Crow laws, intimidation, threats, and violence were outlawed.
iii. This act was enforced by federal oversight to voting areas and allowed the U.S attorney general to investigate the use of poll taxes in state and local elections.
