Brown vs Board of Education (dec 9, 1952 – may 17, 1954)
Description:
i. The Supreme Court ruled that separating children in public schools based on race was unconstitutional.
ii. Separation of people based on race was constitutional as long as the conditions for both groups are equal,
iii. This decision overruled the "separate but equal" principle and set the stage for people to fight to not be seperate
