Description:
In late May and early June, British and French troops are pushed to the coast of France. 300,000 troops are trapped. The Dunkirk Evacuation, or just Dunkirk for short, involved a last-minute rescue of over 300,000 Allied soldiers who were trapped by the Nazis near the beaches of Dunkirk, France, in the summer of 1940. The Battle for France in 1940 lasted only six weeks, resulting in France's surrender
