Francisco Pizarro (jan 1, 1524 – jun 26, 1541)

Description:

Pizarro's first expedition was from 1524 to 1525, and his second expedition was from 1526 to 1528. Although his first expedition wasn't ideal, but he discovered the land of Peru in his second expedition. Pizarro went back to Spain and got the permisstion to conquer the territory. In 1531, Pizarro sailed from Panama and started his exploration with his crews. In Novermber of 1532, Pizarro entered the city of Cajamarca. Pizarro took Atahuapla, the King, hostage, while he was celebrating for his victory over his brother in the civil war. Pizarro got a huge amount of ransom and he finally killed Atahuapla in 1533. Pizarro then conquered Cuzco, another important Inca city, and founded the city of Lima, now the capital of Peru.
