-Began studying at Yale at the age of 13
-Pastored in NY
-Documented a revival which occurred in his church
-Considered America’s first great theologian
-Instituted the “halfway house” for those who still desired to vote, but not be baptized
-Though he maintained that only the converted could participate in communion
-Died of smallpox in 1758
