Description:
-Studied English at Oxford
-Was the first to translate the Bible into English directly from Hebrew and Greek
-“I defy the Pope and all his laws; and if God spares my life, ere many years, I will cause the boy that driveth the plow to know more of the Scriptures than thou dost!”
-Paired with the invention of the printing press
-Was betrayed and martyred in 1536 AD by being burned at the stake
