Mabel Ping-Hua Lee (oct 7, 1896 – oct 7, 1966)
Description:
Chinese-born American women’s rights activist, economist, and minister. At the age of sixteen, she became a recognized suffragist and activist when she, on horseback, helped to lead nearly 10,000 people in the New York suffrage parade (1912). She went on to become the first Chinese woman to earn a Ph.D. in economics at Columbia University. She published her book, The Economic History of China, in 1921.
