Italy tries to take Egypt (sep 9, 1940 – feb 9, 1941)

Description:

Hitler and Musso have a master plan:
they're gonna break through Egypt to get to the rich oil fields of the Middle East,
later this plan assumes the armies from the Middle East meeting up w/ the German armies in Russia

150 K Italians march into Egypt,
they promptly get encircled due to leadership incompetence,
nearly all Italians get captured as POWs

in early February the Germans send their best guy, Rommel, who takes over as commander of Axis forces,
along w/ him arrive two light tank divisions,
with them Rommel manages to turn the tide,
the war in North Africa continues until 1943
