Salem Witch Trials (jan 1, 1692 – oct 29, 1693)
Description:
In the Salem Village of Massachusetts, women were accused of partaking in witchcraft – though this was false. Witch tests were pursued against women, which were impossible to pass; consequently, they were murdered or sacrificed.
Undoubtedly, this negatively impacted women. They were slandered and defamed; their rights were limited. Fear struck every woman residing in this country.
