Another convention and held in the Independence Hall of Philedelphia, Pennysyvlania.The delegates established an army and elected George Washington as Commander-in-Chief,. The Olive Branch Petition was sent it to King George III in hopes of reaching a peaceful resolution to avoid a full scale war (loyalty to Britain). The king refused to hear the petition and declared the American colonies in revolt
