Description:
Socialist and nationalist uprising in Korea that became an international conflict.
Korea has been under Japanese imperial control. As it tried to shake off foreign control, peasants turned socialism. The US, fearing that if socialism (Which they claimed was being spread by the Soviet Union) spread, it would threaten the whole world. US and its allies went in to stop this. China sent in troops supporting the socialists, and a peace accord was reached, dividing the country into two. The south, supported by the US and its allies, and the north became a dictatorship.
