Believed that the ticket to salvation was faith and a merciful god, not obeying moral authority and good deeds.

Was exiled from Mass. Bay because she violated/ opposed Puritans beliefs and tried being a leader in the church. ( at the time women couldn't be pastors). She believed that someone can have a direct relationship
