Description:
The Montgomery Bus Boycott was a civil rights protest during which African Americans refused to ride city buses in Montgomery, Alabama, to protest segregated seating .By mid-November 1956 the US Supreme Court basing its decision on the 14th Amendment's guarantee of equal protection under the law ruled that segregated public buses were unconstitutional. The boycott was a success.
