French Revolution (aug 26, 1789 – nov 17, 1815)
Description:
The French Revolution was when the Third Estate revolted against the king, later causing a Reign of Terror in which both property and lives were lost. This marked an immensely important change in how society and democracy functioned.
The French Revolution heavily pushed the classic liberal principles forward, especially individual rights and freedoms, self-interest, private property, and the rule of law.
