Rwandan Ten Commandments
(Preparation) (jan 1, 1961 – jan 1, 1961)
Description:
The Rwandan Ten Commandments were a document that was published in the pro-Huti and anti-Tutsi newspaper The Kangura. It urged the Hutus to separate themselves from the Tutsis. This separation shows the preparation as people begin to further distance themselves from one another so they won't be killed if disobeying the ten commandments.
The Rwandan ten commandments were a significant part of the Rwandan genocide as they were rules that Hutus had for a only Hutu Nation. Their perspective was that if you didn't obey the commandments you would die as you were now seen as a traitor.
