Description:

John Locke is one of the most famous Enlightenment thinkers, and was a forefather of the idea of a liberal government. He wrote Essay Concerning Human Understanding. He insisted that all ideas are derived from experience. He contributed to sensationalism, the idea that all human ideas and thoughts are produced as a result of sensory impressions. He wrote Two Treatises of Government and insisted on the sovereignty of Parliament against the authority of the Crown.
