Philo (jan 1, 20 BC – jan 1, 50)
Description:
Philo was a Greek philosopher notable for his endeavors to reconcile the Jewish and Christian thought with Greek philosophy. His concepts about the infinite God versus the finite world and the perfection of God versus imperfect people are reminiscent of dualisms presented by Zoroastrianism. He explained the divide through the concept of Logos which acts as an intermediary between God and man.
