Description:
Who: Soviet Union, Cuba and the USAWhat: The Soviet Union began to secretly install missiles that would put the eastern United States within range of nuclear attack. They came to a resolution where both parties had to remove the missiles.
Where: The nuclear missile sites were being built on the island of Cuba
Why: The Soviet leader, Khrushchev, knew the USA had medium and long-range nuclear missiles aimed at the USSR from bases in Turkey, so he wanted to even the playing field.
When: October 16th to October 29th 1962
